I've always liked the one on Dick's Pick 11, Stanley Theater 1972-09-27.

The following link will take you to a Mr Blotto show which I reviewed earlier this year, which was the release party for their "Barlow Shanghai" album.

The album was co-written with John Barlow, and the live show had them play a slow version of Mexicali Blues. When they finished the song Barlow, who was there for the party, said:

"That's the first time ever since I wrote that song back in 1971 that anyone ever played it right"

Holy slowed down rendition Batman!

Trying to decide if I like it or not... It certainly is different.

Well,

Jack Straw starts out strong, Jerome’s picking on “Jack o Roe” is profound, definitely an "energy" in the air this particularly fine evening.

Nak CM-300's are relatively pedestrian microphones but the location of the taper in the room this evening is proper.

Thanks for the shove in the > right direction!
